About this experience
Rising eight meters high, the laterite wall measures 3x3km and guards many treasures inside, protected by a moat still flooded today. In the very centre lies the temple of Bayon – silent witnesses of time, the 216 enigmatic faces gaze over the horizon. Your guide will point out the best angles for photography here and give explanation of the many intricate carvings on the walls of the galleries. You will then continue to Baphuon with its long causeway and an impressive giant Reclining Buddha, a jigsaw puzzle only put back together in 2011 following a 37 year-long disruption caused by the war. Phimeanakas is hiding in the shaded jungle. Continuing along the Esplanade of the Royal Palace more commonly known as the Terrace of the Elephants you will wind up your exploration in the shaded area of the picturesque Preah Palilay. This is a half day tour, you can take either morning or afternoon tour.

We will stop to taking the photo of statues of Demons and God holding the body of snake. Then, you will see the tower of gate with 4 smiling faces of Lukesvarak.

Bayon temple is locating at the center of capital city of Angkorian period. You will see many towers and each tower has four faces. Your tour guide will give you more details of Buddhism related to this temple.

Baphounwas built in middle of the 11th century (1060) by king Udayadityavarman II, dedicated to Siva (Hindu). We will walk on the bridge toward to temple. This is the most impressive temple along with bridge.

Then, we walk to visit Phimean Akas, built in late tenth century-beginning of the 11th century by King Jayavamen V and Udayadityavarman I and dedicated to Hindu, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King and Preah Palilay Temple.
