About this experience

Spend half-day rafting in Zrmanja. Soak up the atmosphere of this unspoiled area and enjoy the itinerary which fares as medium difficulty. The river is not too demanding (class III) and it is safe enough for beginners too.

Rafting the Zrmanja River is a perfect mixture of fascinating scenery and adventure. To start, this river is among the most beautiful rivers in Croatia and Europe. Hidden in the remote area in the Zadar hinterland, rafting the Zrmanja River will amaze you with its clean water and intact nature. The rafting Zrmanja River trip begins in the village of Kastel Zegarski, situated 1 h drive from Zadar, 1h 20 minutes drive from Sibenik, 2 h drive from Split, and 1 h 45 minutes from the Plitvice Lakes Area.
Even if you don’t have any previous rafting experience you can join this trip. Actually, this whitewater rafting is safe enough even for 6-year-olds. And, if you are an experienced rafter, you will enjoy it nevertheless. In addition to the above-mentioned beautiful scenery, you will also encounter more challenging rapids and drops that will give you a needed adrenaline rush.

Weather - the summers are typically warm and sunny. From May to October temperatures are comfortable for hiking, paddling, and swimming. Rain is always a possibility in Croatia so it is essential to bring adequate rain wear and a jacket in case of inclement weather. In the unlikely case of extreme weather conditions we will reschedule the activity for a day or two prior or after the date booked, if possible. If the rescheduling is not possible, the payments will be refunded in full.

You will get a life jacket, a paddle and a helmet, plus long neoprene suits and rain jackets in case of cold weather. Waterproof containers are available for personal items (camera, drinks, etc.). Don’t forget to bring shorts or a bathing suit, T-shirt, spare socks and sandals (or sport shoes), a towel, sun cream and water. In case of colder weather take a long-sleeved shirt.

Important notes

• Things to take with you: swimming suit or shorts, a towel, water shirt or regular T-shirt that can get wet, dry clothes, sun cream.
• Sneakers, sandals, or water shoes are recommended. No flip-flops, crocs, or similar.
• Bringing your own picnic lunch and water is recommended.
• Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.
• Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
• In case of low water level, inflatable, two-person kayaking boats will be used.
