What you'll see

This amazing tour is full of history and scenic views, we start by heading to Salona, an ancient Roman city and one of the richest archeological sites in Croatia.

One of the stunning attractions of the tour is the Salona's amphitheater created in the 2nd century AD, this can hold up to17,000 people. Just like the famous film here gladiators would do battle in this historic venue.  Here you will learn why part of the amphitheater was deliberately destroyed in the 17th century. While here you will also see the Basilica Urbana with its baptistry, the Forum and Manistirine, the old Christian cemetery.

We then move to the famous Game of Thrones setting Klis Fortress, this is a huge medieval structure created as part of a rocky ridge giving you magnificent views of Split, the Adriatic Sea and all the nearby islands. The Fortress controls the valley heading into Split, the commanding fortress reaches as high as 385m at its tallest point. Throughout the Ottoman invasions of Europe, Kliss Fortress played an important role with is location being very important. However today most of us are Games of Thrones fans and can't wait to see where our favourite show was filmed.

After our taste of Game of Thrones we head to Trogir, here you will enjoy a historic harbor and city. We will wander through the narrow streets through the Renaissance-style buildings and enjoy Baroque and Romanesque  architecture.  The tour includes the St. Lawrence Cathedral, the 15th century City Loggia, Cipiko Palace, the Benedictine Convent as well as many more.

We then head back into the Conclude your journey back in charming Split for a walking tour along with free time to see this amazing city for yourself.   You have the opportunity to see Diocletian's Palace in the centre of the city. The Palace was used as the Roman Emperor's Diocletian quarters

When the Roman period ended no one used the fortress until the 7th century when nearby people took refuge inside the Palace walls to escape the Croats.  Now half of the old town of Split has been created from this historic venue.

This is a six and half hour shore excursion 6.5-hour tour that is a greta choice if you are a Game of Thrones fan or never visited Split before.  We guarantee to get you back to the ship in time and places on this tour book up fast so book today to avoid to make sure you are part of the fun.
