We will wander through picturesque alleyways and discover the flavors and culinary secrets of Syros. From the first goods that arrived to supply the island to the present-day gastronomic identity of Syros, we will connect the past with the present through a unique walk filled with tastes and history.
The lively atmosphere and beautiful architecture of the island will transport you to another era, while we enjoy the amazing view of the sea surrounding the town.
We will visit both new and traditional shops like grocery stores, general stores, fish markets, butcher shops, and bakeries, to get to know and taste the raw ingredients that make up the exceptional cuisine of Syros. And of course, we won’t miss a visit to the very first wine and spirits cellar in Greece, with a rich history in distillation.
We will pass by some of the island’s historic buildings and end our walk in a carefully selected location that reflects the local cuisine of the past.
