Osaka's Sumiyoshi Taisha (住吉大社, "Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine") is one of Japan's oldest shrines. Shitennoji (四天王寺, Shitennōji) is one of Japan's oldest temples and the first ever to be built by the state.
