Its a Historical Landmark situated inside the Massive fort, This place was once the home of the famous bhakti poetess Meerabai. It is also believed, that Rani Padmini organized her self- immolation or jauhar inside this fort.

The Meera Temple, as it is fondly called, was constructed by the then king- Rana Kumbha. Meera- a Rajput princess- was madly in love with Lord Krishna, and she devoted her entire life to him.

Padmini Palace is the palace where Rani Padmini lived after she married Rawal Ratan Singh, the ruler of Mewar Kingdom who ruled between 1302 and 1303 CE. The majestic palace is a historical monument related to the self-sacrifice of Rani Padmini after Chittorgarh was attacked by the Sultan of Delhi, Alauddin Khilji.

The Fateh Prakash Palace was constructed on the orders of Maharana Fateh Singh. He is counted among the finest rulers of Mewar and he reigned from 1885 to 1935. The palace was originally built for conducting royal functions and has been accurately preserved.
