Experience a special combo of amazing horseback riding and Mayan ruins. Relax on your horse, away from the crowds while enjoying a ride on well-trained Appaloosa, Criollo and Quarter horses in the company of local professional guides.

Ride at a gentle pace on ancient Maya land, open savannah, riverside & jungle trails where you may encounter exotic wildlife and enjoy the beautiful scenery along part of the Mopan River to the Majestic Xunantunich Maya site.

Let this Maya site ignite your imagination of who built these impressive stone structures as you explore ancient pathways like the ancients of yesteryear. After an hour tour of the site, you will be more than happy for your ride back to St Leonard's Stable.

Important notes

• Weight limit per horse rider: 245lbs (please specify weight, St Leonard's may have to cancel tour once weight is over 245lbs)
MUST provide name of hotel/resort and full names of all riders.
• Attire recommended: walking/hiking shoes/sandals (closed toes), any comfortable long pants
• Pickup time IN Town: 7:30am for morning tour; 10:30am for mid-morning tour; 1:30pm for early afternoon tour.
• PICKUP time and additional fee for p/ups & drop offs OUTSIDE San Ignacio Town will be confirmed and depends on distance outside San Ignacio Town.
• Things to bring: bug spray, sunscreen, small backpack to carry small items, money for souvenirs
• You will incur an additional fee (payable cash on day of tour) if your hotel/Resort is out of San Ignacio Town.  NB: all hotels/resorts in San Ignacio Town specify San Ignacio Town in their address)
• 2 paying adults apply for infants to be free. Parents/ adults traveling with infants (2 - 6 yrs) need to pay for any entrance fees and/or lunch wherever applicable.
• Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to guests who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.
