Ierapetra is located on the south coast of Crete. As it is the only town in the south, it is also called the bride of the Libyan Sea.
From Ierapetra’s port, we will be embarking on the boat and start our sail towards Chrissi island.
Chrissi Island meaning Golden Beach is an uninhabited island 9 miles south of the town of Ierapetra. Most of the island is covered with golden sand and ¼ of the island is covered from the rare variety of Lebanon cedars. Cruise to this uninhabited island that is around 15 kilometers south of Ierapetra. Moor on either south or north side of the island, swim in Chrissi Island's most stunning turquoise waters and soak up the sun in this magical place of natural beauty. This small island is only 7 kilometers in length and covers an area of 4,743 kilometers. There is a path running through the island and its cedar forest to the beach of Belegrina or Chrissi Ammos, an exotic beach. On the east side of the beach, one can find a wide variety of seashells. As you will be located in one of the southernmost parts of Europe, make sure to relax and enjoy a day in an unspoiled environment by swimming in turquoise crystal clear waters, sunbathe and rest under a cedar tree.
