Detailed itinerary

1

A guided tour of Cinque Terre is the best solution for those who want a seamless day in one of the most unique and evocative settings in the world.
You will discover the little hills carved by humanity in the smallest National park in Italy. We will visit on site three of them, Manarola, Vernazza, and Monterosso.
Departure by train to Manarola, surrounded by vineyards, where you take one of the most popular pictures of the world, the little bay surrounded by colored houses. View on Corniglia the smallest village. Train to Vernazza, one of the eldest village, still protected by a fortress that nowadays is a famous restaurant. Train to Monterosso, the biggest village and the only one with a beach. Divided in two parts an old one, medieval and one new one. Walk amont the medieval streets. Time for lunch before we take the train back to La Spezia. The tour can be run by train or ferry.

2

First village we will visit. After a short ride by train we will start our walk uphill to reach the most beautiful view point of the village. Walk on a trail to reach first the upper part of the village and after the lower part, the one by the water. Chance to take the most famous picture of Cinque Terre, the small bay with the coloured houses as backgroud. Amazing view and walk among the vineyards are the highliths of the walk in this village.

3

One of the eldest village of the Cinque Terre, its origins are dated back to the year 1000 aC. The only one with a port and a fortress system, had very glorious past. Commercial and military port, was one of the "safe place" for the Maritime Republic of Genova". We will walk along the main street to reach the port and after few pictures we will walk uphill to reach the path to Monterosso from where you can take breathtaking pictures on the little bay.

4

The biggest village among the five and also one of the eldest. Divided in two since the constructions of the raylway is considered the riviera of the Cinque Terre as this village has two beaches. We will walk the old part, through the medieval path and you can admire the beautiful rosette windows of the parish church and the talentuose paint of "trompe l'oeil" style. It worth a visit also the oratory of the black, where angels, skeletron and saints paint and stautes are combined together to celebrate life and death.

5

The smallest village of the Cinque Terre, only 250 inhabitants, the most agricultural village is perched on a hill overlooking the blue ocean of the Cinque terre national park. The only way to reach this village is by car or by hiking the famous blue green trail that connect Riomaggiore to Monterosso. From the train station there are 400 steps to the center, but a little shuttle is also available.
