About this experience

・Take Asahidake ropeway from Sanroku Station to Sugatami Station and enjoy alpine flowers high in the sky and feel jovial breathing the fresh air in summer and early autumn!

・Have a glimpse of emerald green Sugatami Pond. Its diameter is 50m and its circle distance is about 400m. Sugatami Pond was named as mountain reflection can be seen in the pond.

・Hokkaido is where autumn maples can be seen at the earliest time in Japan, and spectacular autumn tints start to turn up from September and last for a month. Among many grand maple spots on the vast land of Hokkaido, at Mt. Daisetsu visitors can see the earliest autumn leaves of red or yellow broadleaved trees that decorate the area an entrancingly beautiful natural painting from September.

・Stop by Asahidake ropeway restaurant sugatami and have lunch made of fresh local ingredients. It will take 3 minuetes to the Asahidake ropeway stop from the hotel, so you can take Asahidake ropeway for a relaxing “sky walk” after lunch.

The vast fields of flowers that bloom over the hills of Shikisai-no-Oka make up the beautiful patchwork scenery of Biei. Between 30 to 40 varieties of flowers are planted in the fields that were once owned by farmers, which bloom every year between May and late October. Peak season is between late July and late September. The sight of rolling hills covered in colorful flowers is absolutely spectacular! The first Alpacas to be raised in Hokkaido, are being raised on Shikisai-no-Oka. They are quickly becoming popular mascots to children who visit from all over the world.
