Roughly 20kms south of Phuket, the Racha Islands comprise two islands, Koh Racha Yai and Koh Racha Noi. To confuse matters they are also known as Koh Raya Yai and Koh Raya Noi. (Yai means Big and Noi means Small). With snow white sand the beaches on Racha Yai have the consistency of talcum powder. During the best time of year, the water is so glassy clear the visibility can be 30 feet! The much smaller Racha Noi is a popular spot for local fishermen, divers and day-trippers and is uninhabited.
Maiton Island, or Koh Mai Ton, is a beautiful, tiny privately owned island and is considered the Maldives of Thailand because it has a luxury hideaway resort and a large variety of colourful fish swimming in the coral reef near the beach.

The second stop at Racha Noi is at Banana Bay to snorkel and view the amazing coral and variety of colourful, tropical fishes.
About 12:00pm lunch will be taken at a local restaurant followed by time to snorkel at the larger of the stunning Racha islands.
