This fascinating southern town is abuzz with activity as both locals and tourists flock to these old streets from miles around. If you’re looking for alternative then this is a great day out for everyone.

The old quarter of Takua Pa in Phangnga is a poignant reminder of a glorious chapter in its history.

Overlooked by most travellers who pass it off as rather quiet, the old town area of Takua Pa district in Phangnga in fact has much to shout about for it still resonates with a glorious chapter from history dating back a century, now almost forgotten.s the name suggests, the walking street market is situated in Takuapa, however, not Takuapa as most tourists to this part of Thailand know it, but the old town Takuapa. Yan Yow is what is commonly, and incorrectly, referred to as Takuapa. This is where the main hub of this little city is now situated.
