Detailed itinerary

1

Tour the colonial zone of Santo Domingo on a tour where you will discover the legacy of the Colón family and the main monuments of the oldest city in America. Take a look at both sides of the place where maybe it all started.
Visit the oldest city in the New World and the first permanent settlement of Christopher Columbus after his “discovery” of the Americas. Declared a World Heritage Site in 1992 by UNESCO, Santo Domingo is a city with a large number of places erected for the first time in the new world, such as the first cathedral, the first paved road, the first university, the first hospital, the first stone house, first tavern, etc.
Visit the Panteón de la Patria, a great monument from the 18th century that houses the remains of prominent Dominican personalities. Our next stop will be the Plaza de España, where the Alcázar de Colón is located, the former residence of the Admiral. In this square we will also find the Museum of the Royal Houses.
