Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

Start your tour at the Puerta del Mar, a central square which is located close to the Town hall. You will then visit the baroque style Town hall that dates back to the 18th century and is now a very famous landmark of the city and is a bustling spot.

Stop 2

Next, you will visit the Co-cathedral of Saint Nicholas of Bari built between 1613 and 1662. Impressive features that you will get to see are its baroque style interiors and a blue roof that rises to about 45 meters.

Stop 3

You will walk by the Casa Carbonell, an impressive building from the early 20th century which is located close to the Postiguet Beachbefore moving onto Rambla de Méndez Nuñez. one of the most famous streets in Alicante.

Continue on to the Central market. Here you will get to see an authentic market offering fresh produce with hundreds of stalls. The market itself dates back to the late 19th century. It is located in the heart of the city.

Stop 5

Finish your tour at the Basilica of St Mary of Alicante, the oldest church in Alicante. It is built in Valencian Gothic style and dates back to around the 14th and 16th centuries. Here, you will have a chance to see a masterpiece, the sculpture of the Virgin created by Juan Bautista Borja. Its two bell towers and intricate interiors will impress you.
