From there, stroll through the charming streets lined with historic buildings, grand mansions, and traditional patios, while hearing captivating stories about Palma’s past.
The tour includes a stop at the stunning Plaza Mayor, a lively square filled with local energy, and Plaza de Cort, home to Palma’s centuries-old olive tree and the impressive Town Hall. As you continue through the old town, admire the exterior of the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, a former Moorish fortress that now serves as a royal residence.

2

This is where the group will walk to start their tour in the old Town of Palma - Nestled in the vibrant centre of Palma, Es Foner stands as a remarkable sculpture that embodies the artistic spirit of the Balearic Islands. This enchanting piece reflects the rich cultural heritage and creativity of the region, making it an essential stop for art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. As you approach, you'll be greeted by the sculpture's unique form and an ambiance that invites contemplation and appreciation. Es Foner is not just a visual treat but also a testament to the history and evolution of art in Palma.

3

Guests will stop for an exterior visit to the The Royal Palace of La Almudaina, which dates back to the 14th century, is the official residence of the King and Queen during their stays in Mallorca. Together with the Cathedral of Palma it is a landmark of the capital of the Balearic Islands. The palace reflects the artistic styles that have succeeded each other throughout the history of the island.

4

S'Hort del Rei was a mediaeval garden located outside the walls of the Almudaina palace that existed until the 19th century when the area was developed. The Gardens today are an Oasis of natural beauty & sculptures.

5

Guests will walk along the Paseo del Borne, or 'Passeig des Born' in Catalan, is arguably the most elegant avenue in Palma. Not surprisingly, many luxury designers such as Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Sandro, have installed themselves here, and the area has been nicknamed the Golden Mile – a wide promenade offering some sense of tranquillity amid all the bustle of the Old Town.

6

The Church of San Nicolás is located in the street of Estrecho San Nicolás - a primitive building of the church of San Nicolas was a parish temple from 1302. Between 1309 and 1349 the new temple was built. At the end of the 15th century it was rebuilt due to the collapse of the nave. Guests will enjoy an exterior visit in addition to an interior visit when permitted by local authorities.

7

Guests will enjoy and exterior tour of this imposing building dating back to the seventeenth century and it still has its original roof, complete with ornate doorways and the town clock.

The first floor has a series of decorated windows and there is a small terrace running the length of it. In the centre there is a larger window where three flags hang. On the top floor at the front there are a series of smaller windows centred by the impressive town clock.

Outside of the building there are some ornately carved benches where the locals love to sit. It is also a very popular meeting place for local and tourists.

8

The guide will make stops along the way at several Patios de Palma - private courtyards and patios in located in noble medieval buildings. Some of the patios are open to the public, while others are part of art galleries, hotels, or museums.

9

El Mirador Romántico is one of Palma's most enchanting scenic spots, beckoning visitors and our guests with its stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This serene oasis is particularly favoured by couples and nature enthusiasts who come to soak in the beauty of the Balearic Islands. As the group arrive, the lush greenery and vibrant flowers create a welcoming atmosphere, and is the perfect spot for photography enthusiasts in the group looking to capture the essence of Mallorca, its maritime and mountain views with the Cathedral of Palma in the backdrop.

10

This is where the guide will finish the tour by introducing the guests to the incredible history of the most popular tourist attraction. The Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma, more commonly referred to as La Seu, is a Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral located. It is the Cathedral of the diocese of Mallorca, and is situated on the seashore of Palma, abutting the city walls and situated between the Royal Palace of La Almudaina and the Episcopal Palace of Mallorca. Its rose window, with a diameter of nearly 14 meters, is the second-largest extant Gothic rose window, while its 44-meter high nave is the eighth-highest in the world.
The site of the cathedral was occupied by a mosque under Muslim rule. Construction on the cathedral began shortly after the reconquest of the island in 1229, and continued into the 17th century.
Guests also enter of the Museum of the Sacred Art located in the Episcopal Palace, the house of the Bishop of Mallorca located behind the Cathedral.
