About this experience

You will coast from our downtown Carmel-By-The-Sea bike shop directly down to Carmel Beach to romp on the beach with your furry friend! Then ride along the Carmel coastline via Scenic Drive. You’ll sniff out landmarks like the Frank Lloyd Wright house, Tor House, Butterfly House, Carmel River State Beach, Clint Eastwood’s Mission Ranch, the Carmel Mission and Mission Trail Park, the original fairy-tale homes, and maybe Stillwater Cove Beach inside Pebble Beach Resort, with opportunities at every turn for sniffing.

You will ride our premium e-bikes, and your dog will be in our custom handmade sidecars. These powerful, pedal-assisted electric bikes will allow us to cover a lot of ground. The e-bikes with sidecars also have throttles. We have two different-sized side car(s). Please tell us pet weight, breed, name, and which height rider might handle the side car. If you have more than one dog, specify if you think they’d prefer to be together in one sidecar or if you’d like two sidecars.

1

This is a short roll down the hill from the shop as a reward for your dog trying out this new sidecar experience, and what a reward it is! This leash-free beach full of dogs is on every dog's bucket list. There's also a packed DG trail looking down above the pristine, white sands.

2

The most beautiful one-way road along the Carmel coastline. We'll pass the only coastal design by mid-century modern architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, the Custer-Meyer and and poet Robinson Jeffers' Tor House made of river-rock, the first original 100-year-old houses here.

3

This is another opportunity to maximize the California beach experience on a beach sandwiched by dynamic ocean waves and a calm, clear, fresh lagoon the river created. A bird haven, and therefore, a dog's ultimate joy! We'll look across the lagoon at Clint Eastwood's Mission Ranch, the 175yo original dairy farm for the whole peninsula, and our next stop.

6

As we make our way back through Carmel-by-the-Sea on our way to Pebble Beach, we can get a most memorable photo opp of your dog in the sidecar in front of these life-size dollhouses. With no additional charges.
