The Sanctuary of Fátima is, par excellence, a place of Christian pilgrimage and Catholic devotion, preserving the memory of the events that led to its foundation, namely the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima to the three shepherds - Lúcia dos Santos, Francisco and Jacinta Marto - in 1917.
In this tour, we will visit the place of Aljustrel, the so-called Aldeia de Valinhos, place where the 3 little shepherds lived. Arriving at the sanctuary, we will visit the Basilica of Nossa Senhora do Rosário. The building, which stands out for its 65 meters high tower, is the place where the remains of the three little shepherds rest. We will then visit the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, the most recent of the sanctuary, and the Capelinha das Aparições where, with a little luck, you will have the opportunity to attend a mass.
After the visit we return to your hotel in Coimbra.
