We will begin the visit with the church of San Vitale and its mosaics. This is not just the most important byzantine monument in the World, and dut to that a milestone of Unesco heritage, it is a mystic trip as well. It is a trip into the early middle age, and accross a huge book of mosaics and little gems.

The ellenistic, the greek, and the persian iconographies tell a story dating many thousands years ago, when the Mediterranean Sea was a unique closed and interconnected basin, and a craddle of several wealthy civilizations.
