You will be picked up from your accommodation in Victoria falls and transported to just 10 to 15 minutes outside the humble town of Victoria falls. Upon arrival at the Helicopter company, you will be briefed of all safety precautions and also how to use equipment provided on the helicopter. The helicopter staff will also explain to you the route that your flight will take before you are escorted on to the helipad to meet with your pilot. Your flight will immediately fly over the Chinotimba settlement and head straight for the majestic Victoria falls where you will enjoy the best views of the entire Victoria falls precinct. Your flight will circle the falls twice in a zigzag formation offering you the best views of the falls from both sides of the aircraft. Our pilots are well spoken in English, and they will be giving you information about the Victoria falls through the aircraft radio system and they will also be happy to take any questions from you.
Livingstone Island is situated right before the Zambezi River crumbles down the Victoria falls gorge to form the largest waterfall in the world. The Island is known to be home to the famous Devil's pool, where many courageous visitors swim centimeters right next to the 1km steep gorge. If you are lucky, you might be able to spot Hippos, Buffalos and Elephants while you hover over in your aircraft enjoying the world's best craft of nature.
The Zambezi national park is home to some of Africa's largest mammals including lion, elephants, Cape Buffalo and leopard. The park is split into two sides namely the Chamabonda vlei and the riverine side where Hippos, Crocodiles and birdlife can be seen. The Chomabonda side boast of Giraffes antelopes and many other small mammals. Your pilot will point out all these animals to you should you have any luck on the day.
The Devil's pool is situated just above the main falls of Victoria falls and offers you the world's most daring swimming experience. Although you will not have a chance to swim in the devil's pool during your flight, you will have an opportunity to stare at this daring pool from a bird's eye point of view.
