TBILISI CITY TOUR AND OLD TOWN MTSKHETA

The tour begins at 10:00 A.M. First visit to Trinity cathedral the highest church in Georgia, where thousands of children are baptized every year. After Sameba, have a walk in the Sharden Street and visit Erekle II Street full of nice café-bars. Cross the bridge of peace and with cable car ride up toNarikala fortress built in 4th century.visit Mother of Georgia statue , Stroll down to the Old Mosque, continue to Legvtakhevi area and explore small canyon and waterfall. Explore bathhouse quarter – Abanotubani.Bathhouses still use naturally hot sulfur water. Finish the old city tour on Meidan square . Drive to Mtskheta - ancient capital of Georgia to visit UNESCO sites: Jvari monastery 6th c and Svetitskhoveli cathedral 11th c. Considered as Georgian architectural wonder, Svetitskhoveli preserves the robe of Jesus Christ. Jvari monastery stands on the hill of the mountain that Overlooks the city. You have the unique opportunity to see confluence of two rivers – Aragvi andMktvari.visit to Saint Gabrieli grave and souvenir market .after mtskheta we will drive toOvernight in Tbilisi.

DAY 2 KAZBEGI-GUDAURI –ANANURI

Exploration of high Caucasus Mountain.Reach 2395 m level on the Cross Pass, where we can make several stops to taste the mineral water and observe snowy peaks of mountains. we will change our vehicle to a four-wheel drive car to reach Gergeti Holy Trinity Church located on altitude of 2170 m.Visit top of Mount Gergeti, Holy Trinity Church 14th c. standing on the top of Stephantsminda and at the same time under the foothills of magnificent peak Kazbegi (5033m). In the evening drive back to Tbilisi passing by Gudauri ski resort.Overnight in Tbilisi.

DAY 3 KAKHETI-BODBE-KVARELI

Drive to fortified city of Sighnagi which is surrounded with a wall with 28 watch towers, visit convent of Bodbe , the territory of the monastery offers spectacular views of the land of the best Georgian wines - Alazani Valley with peaks of the Greater Caucasus towering behind it. After Bodbe we will drive to tsinandali museum and continue to the winery at Kindzmarauli in kvareli to taste Kakhetian wines made according local traditions. and back to Tbilisi .
