Our first stop is the Acropolis site, a complex of buildings that includes the Parthenon (main temple), Erectheion (the temple with the 6 female figurers, Caryatides), Temple of Athena Nike (Wingless Godess), Propylaia (the monumental Gate), Odeon of Herodus Atticus, Dionysus theater and finally the Mars Hill or Areios Pagos (the first ancient court and the place that St. Paul preached the Christianity for the fist time in Athens).
Our next stop will be the Temple Of the Olympian Zeus (the largest temple in Hellenic and Roman times)
We go on to the Panathenian Stadium (the stadium of the first Olympic Games on 1896)
Then we visit the memorial of the Unknown soldier and the changing of the Guards (Euzones) in front of the Greek Parliament, opposite the Syntagma or Constitutional square.
After that let's see the Trilogy of Athens (the Academy, the First University of Athens and the National Greek Library) and finally the Lycabettus Hill (the highest point of Athens)and don't forget to take some pictures and a memory in your mind and heart of the entire city.
We will also drive through Plaka (the oldest neighborhood in Athens) the picturesque quarter of the city, where there are little shops with handmade crafts and gifts for you to buy and Monastiraki (Flea Market), where you can have a pleasant walk and shopping with your friends and family.
Let's head now to the Peloponnese and visit the Corinth Canal that connects the Ionian with the Aegean Sea and Ancient Corinth (the city of Apollo and Afrodite, plus one of the most important visits of St. Paul)
Then, we will drive to ancient Nemea ,the place that Hercules killed the Nemean Lion on one of his famous tasks. Nemea town in Argolis is famous for two things.
Firstly The Nemean Games, which were famous in the antiquity, almost as the Olympic Games of Athens. The Nemean Games were taking place to honor Zeus with gymnastics and musical activities.
Secondly its wineries and the varieties of wines. There, you will be able to try the local red wine, "Agiorgitiko" , "the grapes of St. George",''Boutari'' and much more quality wines with rich flavors if you wish.
After that wine tasting experience we will leave Nemea or ''wine region of Greece'' and return back to Athens
