Enjoy the highlight of Carnival in Rio. The Special Group is a selected group of the most important Samba Schools of Rio. They compete for the first place in a fierce and elaborate performance that amazes everyone. One part of the group performs on Sunday night, and the other part performs on Monday night. Each Samba School has less than 75 minutes to show their best and conquer the judge’s opinions and, most importantly, the hearts of the audience. Be ready to return at the early hours in the morning of the next day!
On Friday and Saturday, we offer tickets to the opening groups.

The Sambadrome is the heart and soul of the Carnival in Rio. It is place we go to see the Samba Schools competing against each other in a 75-minute performance. Each Samba School has an average of 350 musicians and over 3000 members ready to perform in front of thousands of people in the Sambadrome.
The six winners get to perform one last time the following Saturday night.
