Detailed itinerary

1

You will meet your skipper at Porto Mirabello, the marina of La Spezia. Here you will board the boat of your choice, and start your private cruise.

2

You will cross the Gulf of Poets, the bay where La Spezia is located, named for its brilliant sea and stunning coastline that have inspired poets over time. Along the way, you will admire a unique perspective of the coastline, with its dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and charming fishing villages.

3

You will arrive in Portovenere, a charming ancient town perched on a promontory and dominated by the Church of St. Peter. Here, if you wish, you may disembark to explore the town on your own, wandering through its narrow streets (locally known as caruggi), visiting the Church, and discovering the historic Doria Castle.

4

After visiting Portovenere, your private cruise will continue into the enchanting protected marine area of the Cinque Terre National Park. From the vantage point of your boat, you will admire the breathtaking coastline and the charming pastel-colored villages of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso, perched on cliffs overlooking the sea. Along the way, you will have stops for swimming in the bright blue waters of the Ligurian Sea, and you will enjoy a toast with a glass of wine or one of the beverages offered on board.

5

You will disembark in the lovely town of Vernazza, where you will have free time to explore and enjoy lunch, tasting the authentic flavors of the region.

6

Alternatively, instead of stopping in Vernazza, you may choose to disembark in Monterosso for lunch and a leisurely stroll.

7

After lunch, you will start sailing back to La Spezia.

8

On your way back, you will admire other highlights of the coast, including the secluded fishermen’s village of Monesteroli, accessible only by boat, the Byron Grotto, named after the famous poet, and other sights.

9

At the end of the day, your private skipper will take you back to the Marina of La Spezia, Porto Mirabello, where your private cruise will end.
