About this experience

This fun tour is perfect if you want to see the most beautiful attractions of Rome in one day: Colosseum, Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and more.
We will pick you up at the port with a Mercedes (sedan or minivan). Stop 1

Your private driver will pick you up at the port of Civitavecchia by Mercedes sedan or minivan. In about one hour you will reach the center of Rome where you will meet your private guide and start exploring this amazing city

You will meet your friendly private guide and start your day in Rome at the Colosseum. Here you will learn about the history of one of the most famous and impressive monuments in the world

You will continue to discover the origins of ancient Rome walking by the stunning archaeological area fo the Roman Forum and Imperial Forum. You will see the temples and palaces where the Romans lived while your private guide will make history come to life

Stop 4 Pass by

We will walk by the majestic Vittoriano monument, place of rest of the tomb of the Unknown Soldier

While walking through the narrow streets of the historical center, we will arrive at the beautiful Trevi fountain, a triumphant example of Baroque style

A short walk from Trevi will take us to the Spanish Steps, the magnificent staircase that leads up to Trinita' dei Monti. From here you can have a magnificent view on the city

Walking by Via Condotti we will pass by old cafes and fashion designer boutiques

Placed right in the heart of the city, the Pantheon is the best preserved of all the temples of ancient Rome

This grandiose square, adhorned with beautiful fountains, was at the time of ancient Rome a track for carriage races. It is now a lovely piazza where we can stop for coffee, gelato and some people watching

We will then walk through the characteristic food market of Campo de Fiori. Here if you wish we can stop to taste some of the delicious cheese, prosciutto, pizza and more

Whenever you are getting a little tired of walking, your private driver will drive you to the next attraction on the itinerary. Next stop will be at Bocca della Verita' (Mouth of Truth). This gigantic mask of the ancient Roman times will bite any lier who dares putting their hand in the mask's mouth

We will cross the Tiber river passing on the cute Tiberine Island, an islet that has been inhabited for thousands of years

Stop 13

We will stroll through Trastevere, one of the most lively and authentic neighborhoods of Rome, where we can also stop to have lunch. The price of lunch is not included in the price of the tour, so you are free to choose your preferred restaurant. Your guide will be happy to give you some suggestions and will book a table for you.

Riding along the banks of the Tiber river we will reach Castel Sant'Angelo, an impressive castle built to protect the Vatican from the enemies

Stop 15

We will finally admire Saint Peter's Basilica and see the balchony from which the Pope gives his Sunday blessing to the people (we will probably not have time to get inside as the line is generally very long and it is not possible to skip it)

Via della Conciliazione will lead us right in front of the last stop of our discovery of Rome, the Vatican

At the end of the tour, your private guide will take you back to the port of Civitavecchia (about one hour drive)
