This is a seasonal tour and only runs from mid-January to the end of March. It differs slightly each year, but this is the time when the majestic humpback whales frolic in the ocean off our shores in the crystal-clear warm waters of TCI. They have migrated down from Newfoundland, Canada and the North Atlantic to find a mate and have given birth to their calves, who they are now are teaching how to dive and feed. These whales are only here for a short period before embarking on their northern migration to the feeding grounds.
Take a photograph of a whale breeching and then showing off its tail. By sharing the photo of the whale’s tail flute with the Turks and Caicos Islands Whale Project they will later identify and track the whale and you can watch its progress as it migrates through the North Atlantic via their website.
