About this experience

This is a medium to hard hiking tour to the highest peak on Galichica mountain. Magaro is 2245 m high. The view from the top of the hill over the two lakes is amazing. From here you can see both Lake Prespa and Lake Ohrid, and both Macedonia and Albania. If you are up for this challenging adventure, do not hesitate to book.

Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

We will pick you up from your hotel or any other agreed staring point in Ohrid. With the vehicle (car or minivan, depending on the number of travelers) we will be transferring you to a place called Lipova Medow or Korita from where we will start our ascent to Magaro peak.

Stop 2

Everywhere you look you will witness an amazing view. From the top of the hill, you can see 2 lakes and 2 countries. You will see both Lake Prespa and Lake Ohrid, and you will see both Macedonia and Albania. The adrenalin rush will make you feel excited and full of energy instead of tired. After a good rest and having enough injected from this beauty we will start our descent to the Lipova Meadow for our return transfer to Ohrid
