The catacombs of Kom el Shogafa are located on Bab el Molouk Street in the Karmouz quarter of Alexandria. Its bas-relief decorations show a mixture of Egyptian and Greco-Roman art forms, and it is considered one of the most important archaeological sites in the city.

The Pompey Column is located in the archaeological park of the city of Alexandria, on the site of the ancient temple of the Serapeum. It is a column made of red granite from Aswan, and is the largest of its kind built outside the imperial capitals of Rome and Constantinople.
