The Lakeside Trail is a 19 mile long pathway which goes from the Lake Michigan shoreline to the South Shore Cultural Center in Chicago and also to the city’s Kathy Osterman Beach.
We will head towards East Adams Street, just off South Michigan Avenue in Downtown Chicago. Once there, you will have time to get out of the vehicle and of course look up and take a photo at the Historic Route 66 Sign.
Stop by this Park for a photo stop. Grant Park is the Loop’s three-hundred and nineteen-acre green space which is bordered by Lake Michigan.
A stop at the Cloud Gate will also be arranged. Take time to walk around the square, take pictures and explore it. The Cloud Gate is one public sculpture you can’t walk past without noticing.
We will arrange a stop here as well to explore and get to know the downtown and the Loop Retail Historic District.
There will also be some time to take photos and explore with a walk, the Riverside Walk.
