This 4 hours private tour through Wieliczka salt mines, is an amazing journey, replete of huge galleris, salt sculptures, old machines, medieval mining tools, and emerald colored salt wells.
Your designated driver will pick you up in any spot of Krakow you specify, and from there will travel some 12 kilometers to the amazing Wieliczka Salt Mines.
Once in the mines, you will meet your official tour guide for a group visit (they not allowed priavte visits). The mines, which still today are being exploited, have a depth of approximately 327 meters divided into 9 levels and an extension of 300 kilometers. However, the passage for tourists only includes the first three levels.
In Level 1, at 64 meters s underground, you can explore 20 salt chambers of 2 kilometers where there's an exhibition of all the different minig methods that have been used in Wieliczka from the Middle Ages to this day.
At the end of the tour, your private driver will take you back to your hotel in Krakow.
