About this experience

Your private driver and official tour guidewill be waiting for you in the cruise port of Messina to kick off your private full day tour to Taormina and Castelmola.

You will take the highway to Taormina and first visit the village of Castelmola (450 mt.).

Amazing landscape and a great view of Mount Etna (3.330 mt. - 11.000 ft. - the highest volcano in Europe), and wonderful landscape of Giardini-Naxos bay.

After visiting Castelmola we will then we drive down to Taormina.

After Taormina, you will drive back to Messina. Once there you will see the church with bronze statues (King Christ church) and also a viewpoint, one of the oldest fortress in Messina, from which to see the straight and the port of Messina, and take pictures of it. The tour will end at the cathedral of Messina with its very particular and spectacular astronomical clock (the biggest in the world).

Taormina is a small Sicilian city located on the north-western coast of the island. It is famous for its location in front of one of Italy's most spectacular natural sites, Mount Etna. It is also known for its coastal charm, historical monuments and cultural attractions.

Castillo de Castelmola is a medieval castle in Spain.  
The square tower and walls are said to have been built before the year 1000, making it one of the oldest extant castles in Europe. The castle also contains a chapel, living quarters, dungeon and treasury.
