In this Private Tour we will visit one of the greatest & largest museums in the world. With over 300,000 objects set out in 350 acres of beautiful countryside, it is a museum with no equal.
Beamish isn't just any museum, it is a living museum. A working town filled with buildings and items saved from destruction & rebuilt here. Beamish is full of people in character performing jobs & activities from the North East of England over the last 200 years.
This full day tour allows us to explore almost everywhere. Ride authentic trams and omnibuses. See what schools & houses were like through different periods.
See how life was on a farm or in a coalmine. Explore the real streets and seeing working old printing presses in newspaper offices, buy scones and cakes from the old bakery or try some delicious sweets... not too many as you might not want to try the 1900s dentist!
I will pick you up at the station or in Newcastle for a 20 minute drive & return you at the end of the day,

Beamish is a world famous open air museum which brings the history of North East England to life at its 1820s Pockerley, 1900s Town, 1900s Pit Village, 1940s Farm, 1950s Town and 1950s Spain’s Field Farm exhibit areas.
It's not just a museum but a working town with buildings saved from destruction being re-assembled here. We can ride on trams, by scones at the traditional bakers. See how houses and factories looked in different centuries.
Beamish is one of the most incredible living museums on Earth and it's impossible to spend too much time here. You might all ready have seen some parts as TV shows and films are often made here.
On this private tour I will bring you from Newcastle by car and we will have a private tour with a chance to shop (& or eat) along the way.
