Tremezzina is located on the western banks of Lake Como, just opposite Bellagio, and is the result of a recent merger of the municipalities of Lenno, Mezzegra, Ossuccio and Tremezzo.

Visiting Tremezzina means having the opportunity to enjoy a place rich in atmosphere, history, and attractions. For example… did you know that some scenes from Star Wars were filmed here?
Among the main must-sees, in fact, Tremezzina is home to two of the most beautiful villas on Lake Como: Villa Balbianelllo, set for major international films and also weddings, and Villa Carlotta, a museum and botanical garden.

But there are not only villas. Discover all the must-see places in the most beautiful hamlets of Tremezzo, Ossuccio and Lenno: there are beautiful beaches, historic churches and walks not to be missed.

3

Bellagio is a small jewel located on the promontory that separates the two southern branches of Lake Como, those culminating in the cities of Como and Lecco.

It is one of the most glamorous and romantic destinations in Lombardy. In fact, the well-known “Pearl of Lake Como” is home to a colorful historic center, beautiful gardens (parks of Villa Serbelloni and Villa Melzi), charming neighborhoods (such as Pescallo or San Giovanni), and much more.

4

a real gem

arenna is a picturesque and traditional village, located on the eastern shore of Lake Como, Italy. An essential stop for anyone wishing to visit one of the most typical and peaceful towns of the lake.

This small village, where you can still breathe in the traditions of yesteryear (above all, fishing), is home to elegant villas with botanical gardens (such as Villa Monastero and Villa Cipressi) and beautiful walks between history and nature (Castello di Vezio and Sentiero del Viandante).

5

Pescallo is a small quiet village on Lake Como and is located less than a mile from the larger resort town of Bellagio. Having read about this place as being a little fishing community away from the tourist area, I was interested to see it for myself. On my first visit to Lake Como and Bellagio in 2011, I started exploring and found that it was only a short walk to Pescallo.

The walk to Pescallo may be short but it is not that simple. For anyone who has difficulty navigating steps or uneven walkways, this trek is definitely not for you. Although Bellagio is at the water’s edge, the town is built on a hill.

We will see this beautiful villa by the water. Number of feature films have used the villa for location shooting, including A Month by the Lake (1995), His Demise starring Paul Zukowski (2016 disaster movie), Casino Royale (2006). The villa was also used for the lake retreat scenes in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones (2002), with computer-generated imagery used in place of the building's true exterior.
