Guide will meet you at the lobby of Tbilisi hotel and drive to the West, Kakheti village Iormughanlo. Here our off-road adventure begins.

Stop 2
Today we visit Gareja Monastery Caves: Lavra. Take a glimpse of what the monastic life used to be in the whole area centuries ago.

Picnic lunch near village Udabno.

Continue to the Mravaltskaro Reservoir, a rarely visited area of Gareja desert. Take a short hike to the top of the hill just above the lake or go around and walk among the colorful hills of Mravaltskaro. Step wilderness, semi-desert fauna and lunar colorful hills will charm you. All pictures are like a post-card.

At the end of the day, we return to Tbilisi passing by former Soviet industrial city of Rustavi. The industrial zone here is scaring, it looks like a skeleton of former USSR. Great place for black and white pictures.
Appearance of the town Rustavi is typical Soviet: residential block buildings of Stalinism and later periods are symmetrically constructed along the geometrical streets. The main square, bridge along the river Mtkvati and the park are well maintenance. After short walk drive back to Tbilisi

Trekking to certain parts of David Gareja is subject to favorable weather conditions. In case of rain or snow you'll skip sightseeing in Sabereebi caves for your own safety and will be offered an alternative excursion in Ninotsminda Monastery.

• A dress code is required to enter Lavra Monastery. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
