Travel by Intercity train from Bern to Interlaken.

Board the local train from Interlaken to Grindelwald.

Grindelwald has become a major tourist destination of both Switzerland and the Alps since the golden age of alpinism in the 19th century. It is notably overlooked by the section of the Bernese Alps. You can enjoy a walk along the main street during our stop in Grindelwald.

The cogwheel train from Grindelwald climbs to Kleine Scheidegg in 40 minutes. The view of the north face of the Eiger, the village of Grindelwald and the surrounding mountain landscape are unique.

Stop 5

The Kleine Scheidegg is a mountain pass at 2,061 m altitude, located below and between the Eiger and Lauberhorn peaks. There are also several restaurants and hotels at the top of the pass. Enjoy 2 hours of free time here to explore or have lunch.

While travelling to Lauterbrunnen on the cogwheel train, we pass Wengen.

A stop at Lauterbrunnen gives you a view to the village, the Staubbach waterfall and the nearly overhanging wall of the Lauterbrunnen rock. Take your time to walk through this known village.

Change here for the train back to Bern.
