You’ll discover the fascinating legend behind the “Mouth of Truth,” where, according to tradition, it was said to bite the hand of liars. Enjoy time to take photos and hear stories about this ancient marble mask and its connection to Rome’s history before beginning your walking tour through the Eternal City.

Stop 2

Your guide will take you to the Church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin, a medieval basilica famous for its beautiful mosaics and ancient history. Located right next to the Bocca della Verità, this 6th-century church preserves stunning interiors, including marble floors, Byzantine decorations, and ancient relics.
