The World Heritage Site of Hoi An Ancient Town is located along the Thu Bon River. For centuries, the old town has remained unchanged. Hoi An was the Champa Kingdom's international commercial port, used for importing and exploring lumber, gold, and silk. Hoi An was organizing trade fairs during the period, attracting many merchants from Holland, Portugal, Japan, and China. As the river became shallower in the 18th century, Da Nang supplanted Hoi An as the harbor. During the walking tour around the old town, the tour guide will display and discuss the history of the Japanese bridge, a traditional dwelling, a Chinese Assembly Hall, a cultural and historical museum, and the market.

The coconut farm continue to develop on their own in this location. The Cam Thanh community values and cares for this forest because it protects them from sea flooding and preserves the Cham Islands UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. Many aquatic species flourish in the woodland areas, making this place a home for them. The whole area mimics the Mekong Delta, with the primary difference being the type of boat used to operate in both areas. Visitors to Cam Thanh hamlet can take a tour of the Bay Mau coconut forest on Thung Chai, which are bamboo basket boats.

This contemporary bridge crosses the Han River near the Le Dinh Duong/Bach Dang traffic circle, giving the quickest road link from Da Nang International Airport to other major routes in Da Nang City, as well as a more direct route to My Khe Beach and Non Nuoc Beach on the city's eastern boundary.
