Detailed itinerary

1

This amazing tour starts at a conveniently located ranch in the heart of Bavaro. All passengers will receive pre-tour instructions about the safety and operation of the vehicles. Guests will be driving their own automatic“caravan-style” buggy following the tour guide who will lead the group.

The "Flintstones Buggy Trail" has a length of 10 kilometers and takes you through a variety of vegetation and rock/hill-formations. The trial leads straight through the countryside where you can see donkeys, cows, horses, sheep and pigs!

After about 25 minutes of driving the tour has its first stop at a typical Dominican house and the local “colmado” (a small grocery store) where participants can taste some real Dominican coffee. Immerse yourself into the Dominican culture as you join locals from the countryside doing their daily shopping. No one will ask you to buy anything but if you need some food or local products you can take advantage as they of the really cheap prices!

Around 20 minutes later the tour will continue off-road and you will be surrounded with simply breathtaking views. You'll travel past colorful houses and across the amazing landscape of banana plantations and farmland. This is the true Dominican Republic! Here the trail gets even more "rough" and "wild" and there are some spectacular views of the "cliffs" that have been formed over millions of years.

The tour continues until the arrival at the “Cave of Fantasy”! First we enter the cave and walk almost to the end through magnificent and huge illuminated stalactites and stalagmites.
This is not a public cave so it is accessible only to your tour. It is a 100% authentic experience! In the cave you will feel the bumps and uneven surface of the path. There have been minimum changes made to the cave so that it keeps its natural authenticity and beauty.

After exploring "Fantasy Cave", you will go up the stairs to Bedrock City! Bedrock City is another group of caves that are located above the large cave, a rare combination and therefore, very unique! Why the name Bedrock City? Well, here you see the villa of Fred Flintstone, the garage with the Flintstone Mobile and much more.

After around 35 minutes spent inside the cave it will be time to go back. With the sun in your face and the wind in your hair, you will drive your open-air dune buggy back to the ranch. Here the guests will have the opportunity to buy the pictures from the excursion and other souvenirs or enjoy a Dominican-flavored drinks at the bar.
