About this experience

Etili village tour has structured to give a unique experience about the traditional village agriculture in Sri Lanka. Chena cultivation is the main experience of this tour. The Boat ride in the lake will add value to your day, where you can see lots of reptiles and birds.  The experience of village hospitality along with traditional SriLankan lunch will leave an everlasting impression in your minds.

Detailed itinerary

8:00 - Pick up from your hotel in Ella or Bandarawela & then transferred to the Mirissa kade junction where you can start your journey to the village with a land master ride.

10:00 – Reach to the Chena and you will be provided traditional welcome drink before proceeding with Chena activities. Here you may have the opportunity to pluck fresh vegetables by your own for the lunch.  

11:00 – You can do a boat safari in nearby lake, which enables you to enjoy the views of birds and wild animals around the lake while enjoying a child beer / Fruit Juice

12:30 –  Experience Sri Lankan village lunch at mud house with curd for dessert.

13:30 – You can Plant a tree as your environmental contribution. The tree will be looked after by us to make sure that it becomes a part of the beautiful nature in the area.  

14:00 -  There is a small hike which will bring you to a viewpoint, where you will see the whole area of the village and experience your herbal tea from there.

16:00 pm – Come back to the lake and view the sunset for a while.  

17:30 pm – You will be taken back to your hotel.
