A visit to Senaru Traditional Village, the Sasak inhabitant are the cultural guardians of Mountain Rinjani and its surrounding forest and safeguard its spiritual values, visit their their thatched houses prepare meals using local produce, where people still live in houses of woven mats, timber and bamboo, work the rice paddocks and store their crops in stilted wooden granaries that are shared by the whole community and understanding their traditional way of life.

You can really pack a lot into one day with the help of your local guide, It was a brief but beautiful hike down an easy trail, and soon were brought around to a stunning waterfall, spent about 15-20 minutes from gate to Sendang. After you’ve finished with Sendang Gile Waterfall you can head over to Tiu Kelep, the trail alongside the river takes around 15-20 minutes to get down, pass through the rock walls and we felt like deep-jungle explorers for around 30 minutes in total. Once you’re almost there you will have to walk through ankle deep water to get across. It’s an epic amphitheater with one of the most dramatic falls.
