Slow down your pace,let's sit in the traditional bamboo armchair,mingle with local,order some local snacks,such as sweet chewy noodle,steam dumpling in the time-honored Ziwei restaurant and have a cup of jasmine tea in the hundred years old Heming tea house,relax and find your inner peace.

Then check out the active Renmin park which is a showcase of Chengdu people's daily life.You will find people stir the boat on the lake, practice Taichi,and  your guide will show you the famous  match making corner

Keep walking about 10 minutes from Renmin Park to the famous culture area--KuanZhai Alley.
You will not only browse countless interesting shops, your informative guide will also take you to explore the hidden backstreets where local live,  show you a busy market and explain about the spices and ingredients essential to Sichuan cooking.

Then move to Sichuan Art Academy,which situated in the 100 years old quartyard,to check out the recent exhibition of Chinese painting.
