Olive Picking: 5 hours olive picking tour with lunch
The ferry takes 50 minutes to get from Split to the port of Rogač. The tour starts from Rogač, Šolta Island.
When you arrive in Šolta, you will be guided to the groves and for two hours you'll participate in a traditional olive harvest with a local family. At least one of your hosts speaks English fluently, but try to learn some Croatian words, too.
After two hours of harvesting in the late summer sun, it's time for lunch and processing the olives in the Olynthia Olive Mill. Bear witness to how extra virgin olive is extracted from the fruit in only 1 hour with the help of latest technology.
During lunch time you'll have the opportunity to try local wine. Our “Olive Oil Tasting” program will teach you how to taste olive oil like professionals do.
After lunch you will get small bottle of fresh cold pressed extra virgin olive oil as a memory from your olive picking experience. The ferry back to Split leaves at 5:30pm.
Guests arriving by ferry from Split will be welcomed at Rogač port. Look for a white van with the Discover Šolta sign at the taxi stand. The ferry departs 60 minutes before the tour. Arrive on time to buy tickets and board. Detailed ferry instructions follow after booking.
