The Accademia Gallery is the ideal place in the city to discover not only the most famous work of art by Michelangelo, the David, but also other masterpieces of this great Florentine artist: the four Prisons, San Matteo and Palestrina’s Pietà. This exceptional concentration of Michelangelo’s works has contributed significantly to the fame of the Accademia Gallery, making it the second most visited museum in Florence after the Uffizi.
Given the relative narrowness of the museum’s spaces and the large turnout, long lines of tourists waiting to enter, outside, are the order of the day. Even if you manage to get an access ticket with a reservation is sometimes extremely difficult, that’s why we have activated the Fast-Track-Ticket service with Host for the Academy, in order to ensure an immediate entrance.
At the chosen date and time, our host will be in Via Ricasoli 57, 50121 Firenze, next to the Carrefour Express Supermarket.
Audio Guida
If a tourist wants to see Michelangelo’s David he/she can do it in Piazza della Signoria in front of Palazzo Vecchio or in the middle of Piazzale Michelangelo; if he wants to admire the original, however, he can do it only and exclusively at the Galleria dell'Accademia.
The academy closes at 6:15PM. You can stay inside the museum as much time as you like. For example, if you book the tickets at 9,00, you must collect the tickets at 9,00 and enter the museum at 9,00 but you can stay inside until the closing time of the museum. Same if you book tickets at 12,00, you must collect tickets at 12,00 and enter the museum at 12,00. You can't book the tickets at 9,00 and enter the museum at a different time.
At the chosen date and time, our Assistant will be in front of the museum to give you your entrance ticket for quick access, ready to explain you all the information you may need for your self guided visit.
Head at the entrance of the Accademia Gallery and, a few steps away from the museum, at Via Ricasoli 57 – just in front of the Carrefour Express Supermarket – please look for our assistant wearing a yellow vest and an ACCORD ID badge.
Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the visit scheduled
Please bring with you your headphones
All visitors to the museum must go through the security check; at the busiest times, the line for the check takes approximately 10-15 minutes
