It is regarded as one of the most attractive squares in Potsdam, the capital city of the federal state of Brandenburg, and one of the best-preserved Baroque ensembles in Europe

In a magnificent baroque building, stars of the silver screen shine.

A landmark city square at the very heart of the old town, with the building of Altes Rathaus and Museum Barberini.

Followed by the Lutheran St. Nicholas Church located in the Old Market Square, considered to be the historical center of the city.

134 charming red brick houses graced by shuttered windows, gables, and white trim, designed by the Dutch architect Jan Bouman between 1737 and 1742.
