Stella has been guiding tours around the city since 2019, because she loves meeting new people and sharing with them her passion for history, food and culture. Like any true blue Italian, Stella loves food and began cooking when she was only a child! This is a 3.5 hour walking tour around Bologna city with your local, licensed guide, Stella. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing for this Bologna food tour. On your guided food tour of Bologna with Stella, you will walk through the most interesting squares and streets of Bologna, combining the history of each place along with tastings of local specialties. You will also visit lively food markets and artisanal shops, to taste some of the best produce from local vendors. These vendors use traditional recipes, like the “sfogline” making pasta fresca, who will share his knowledge and secrets inherited from his grandmothers! Throughout the tour Stella will share stories, insights, take you to hidden gems and her favorite vendors who have the best produce. By the end of the Bologna food tour you would have learned about the city and its rich culture, history and food.
