Join Moe and her family for a meal at their welcoming dining table. The homecooking of Myanmar is influenced by its geography and the food is a mix of southeast Asian, Indian, and Chinese flavors and cooking techniques. Moe’s family prepares traditional Myanmar cuisine as well as Chinese dishes, reflecting their heritage. 

You might try dishes such as their tender Burmese pork curry cooked with onions and tomato paste, nga phe thoq (a fish cake salad, of fried fish cake served on top of a fresh greens with onion, fried garlic and tomato), bean soup with vermicelli and dried shrimp, or shui jiao (Chinese dumplings stuffed with minced pork, ginger, and spring onions).

Moe’s home is located near the Mandalay Sedona Hotel which is located at the corner of 66th St. and 26th St. From there, walk on 26th St. until you reach 60th St. Turn right onto 60th St. and continue straight until you see a tea shop near a small bridge. Don’t cross this bridge. Continue straight and after passing two houses you will see Moe’s home, No. 9/35.
