You will be picked up from your hotel in Delhi where you will drive to Agra; located on the Yamuna River. Your first stop will be at Agra Fort; This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a remarkable piece of Mughal architecture. The emperors of the Indian Mughal dynasty lived in this fort until 1638; and it's a sight to behold for its red sandstone craftsmanship. Your next stop will be a break for a delicious lunch at a local Indian restaurant where you can taste the local flavors. Then it's off to the Taj Mahal itself; the iconic feature of Indian culture. You will learn about the love story that led to its creation; As well as Turkish; Indian; and Persian architectural styles that encompass its structure.
