Stop 1

It is then time to visit the biggest museum in the world that shows the antiquities of one civilization and people. The Egyptian Museum in Cairo opened in 1901 it is a huge place that displays what was found in the tombs and temples such as statues, jewelry, furniture, mummies, and other types of monuments. There are more than 65,000 pieces on display that need weeks to see. However, during your short visit, your guide will show and explain the most important pieces and the highlights. You will enjoy the wonderful treasures of the boy king Tut Ankh Amun: the fabulous golden mask and coffins. You will have free time to browse the museum yourself and you may like to see the Royal Mummies

Stop 2

Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan. Built-in 1356 and intended to be a mosque and a school for teaching students about Islam, the mosque is distinguished with its tall and huge walls and arches, the extensive use of marble, and splendid towers and dome. Your guide will give you a brief history of the basic principles of Islam. When you leave the mosque you will enjoy the panoramic view of several mosques around.

Stop 3

In the Coptic area, you will visit the Roman fortress of Babylon. The Romans built in the 1st century A.D; a very impressive church was built on the walls of one of the towers known as the Hanging church. Consecrated to Virgin Mary, the Hanging church was built in a basilica style. Let your eyes and feelings absorb the beauty of the wooden roof that resembles the Ark of Noah, the icons, the altars, and the pulpit.

Stop 4

you will spend some time in the oldest and biggest market in Cairo Khan el Khalili Bazaar, founded in 1382. You will have some time to try your bargaining skills in buying a souvenir. Your guide will recommend to you what items you can buy there. You may like to have a local drink in (The el-fishway coffee shop) the oldest one in the marketplace. This is a very nice conclusion to the day tour. Return to your hotel in Cairo.
