This parish located on the north coast of São Miguel island is where we start and end the tour. After starting our tour on paved roads, we will ride along the seafront of and explore dirt roads in this area.
This is a mountain with an altitude of 845 meters. The breathtaking view is very similar to “Miradouro da Boca do Inferno” but from a higher perspective (accessible with the quads) and even more magnificent due to its altitude. From here you can see Lagoa Rasa, Lagoa de Santiago, Lagoa Verde, Lagoa Azul and a view to the whole crater of Sete Cidades dormant volcano. If weather is good, this one of the high lights of the tour, where we can see almost the whole island from the top.
Located at an altitude of 540 meters, this viewpoint offers a unique and panoramic view over Sete Cidades crater. Depending on weather and dirt roads conditions we can get to see the same view from a diferent perspective “Miradouro das Cumeeiras”, where we can have an amazing view to the green and blue lake but from the opposite side of the Crater.
Here you can expect to make some dirt paths that surround the Blue Lagoon in Sete Cidades with incredible views over the lakes.
Passing on a dirt road aroundThis is a parish located on the north coast of the island of São Miguel. This is one of the transit villages that we pass on the way back to the meeting point. Here we will pass by Poços (bathing area) and the place of the old whale’s factory, disabled since 1970 where only the factory chimney remains. Here we will also make a dirt path that connects this parish to Fenais da Luz. Lagoa Azul.
Here we get back to where we started, exploring some seafront dirt roads.
The meeting place is in a residential area, and you will find a "meeting point" sign on the gate and ATVs parked outside
