At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at Frankfurt’s bustling central station to board our train. Sit back and relax — in just about 1 hour, we’ll arrive at the charming city of Mainz, ready to dive into history and culture.

Our first stop will be exploring the impressive ruins of the Roman Theater, the largest of its kind in Germany, and the ancient citadel. We’ll spend about 30 minutes wandering among these stone giants, imagining life in Roman times it’s like a history lesson and an adventure all in one!

Next, we stroll to the picturesque Altstadt neighborhood, where we’ll admire the elegant Church of St. Ignatius. Spend 30 minutes soaking in the baroque artistry and peaceful atmosphere — a quiet pause before more discoveries.

Then it’s off to the stunning St. Augustine’s Church, a masterpiece of rococo design. Here, for another 30 minutes, we’ll marvel at the intricate details and vibrant colors — a true feast for the eyes and your camera

Our journey continues with a visit to the famous Wooden Tower, one of Mainz’s three surviving medieval towers. We’ll spend 30 minutes uncovering why it’s called “wooden” when it’s mostly stone — a fun secret waiting for you!

Stop 6

We finish our guided tour at the majestic Mainz Cathedral in the heart of the market square. Spend about 2 hours here exploring the Romanesque architecture and soaking in the vibrant city life. You’ll also get 1.5 hours of free time afterward to wander the streets, grab a bite, or just relax before we head back to Frankfurt.

Next, we will leave you an hour and a half of free time so that you can continue getting to know the German city on your own. After this time, we will meet the guide again to return to Frankfurt.
