Next, we stroll to the picturesque Altstadt neighborhood, where we’ll admire the elegant Church of St. Ignatius. Spend 30 minutes soaking in the baroque artistry and peaceful atmosphere — a quiet pause before more discoveries.
Then it’s off to the stunning St. Augustine’s Church, a masterpiece of rococo design. Here, for another 30 minutes, we’ll marvel at the intricate details and vibrant colors — a true feast for the eyes and your camera
Our journey continues with a visit to the famous Wooden Tower, one of Mainz’s three surviving medieval towers. We’ll spend 30 minutes uncovering why it’s called “wooden” when it’s mostly stone — a fun secret waiting for you!
