You can choose to visit Funchal city, learn about its history, visit some of its iconic landmarks and areas, like the XV century Old Town, the Sé Cathedral, its famous “Mercado dos Lavradores” (farmer’s market) or “Fortaleza do Pico”. Your guide/driver will also take throughout the back streets to places that only a true local knows.

Stop 2

The lush hill side village of Monte at 550 meters above sea level, has lovely gardens, fantastic views and its where the famous “Taboggan Ride” is found.

The east cliffs of Garajau can also provide excellent views over the Atlantic Ocean and the city of Funchal. On the way up the first stop will be at Pináculo, 280m above sea level and located on the edge of a cliff.

Travel on through to Garajau, set at the east end of the bay of Funchal. You will be offered a spectacular view of the "Christ the Redeemer" statue (older than the one in Brazil), whilst marveling at the crystal-clear waters below.

The e fishing village of Câmara de Lobos is famous for its picturesque looks, with colorful fishing boats in the dry dock right in the center of the village, a small bay and steep hills crowded with small old buildings. Its unique beauty was immortalized in one of Winston Churchill´s painting.

Once in the village you will have the opportunity to explore it and learn about its history, culture and try some of the local delicacies.

Stop 5

After your visit to the fishing village you can head up the hills to the top of Cabo Girão cliff where, at its highest point, 580 meters above sea level, a glass sky-walk will provide some breathtaking views over the south east coast and beach below.

Stop 6

The Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in Madeira Island, with marvelous views overlooking the city of Funchal.
